Where to start

Choosing the right screen

How do I know which type of screen I need?
Mostly the opening itself and how often you pass through it. A window you crack open for air suits a fixed or roller screen, a door in daily use wants a sliding or self-closing one, and a very wide glass wall is usually best with a folding pleated screen. We work all of this out with you at the survey, so nothing has to be settled beforehand.
Can you screen sliding patio doors?
Yes — it is one of the jobs we do most. A sliding screen runs on its own track beside the door, so it glides across when you want it and tucks away when you don’t. For very wide or bi-folding openings, a pleated panel often suits better because it folds back into a slim stack.
Can you screen a very large or oddly shaped opening?
Almost always. Oversized sliding doors, tall stairwell windows, arched frames and curved balconies are routine for us because every screen is built to measure. For openings too big for a standard frame, we fit a side-drawing flat screen that spans far wider than an ordinary panel.
What goes in the frame

Mesh & materials

Which mesh is best if I live somewhere dusty?
A finer weave than the standard one. Its tighter gauge holds back blown sand and the smallest insects while still letting air move through. We talk the trade-off through room by room, since a tighter mesh breathes a touch less than an open one.
Will a screen spoil my view or block the breeze?
Far less than most people expect. A quality mesh in a darker shade all but disappears when you look out through it, and an open weave lets the majority of the air pass. Where the outlook really matters, we use the most open mesh the location allows and keep the frames slim.
What is the toughest mesh for the Dubai climate?
Woven stainless steel, by a clear margin. It shrugs off salt air, takes years of strong sun without turning brittle and resists cutting, which is why we use it on the coast and where security counts. Among the lighter options, a vinyl-coated pet weave wears the hardest.
What it costs

Prices & quotes

How much does a mosquito screen cost?
It depends on the size of the opening, the type of screen and the mesh, so there is no one figure. A simple window screen sits at the low end, while a powered screen across a wide terrace costs a good deal more. After measuring, we give you a price itemised per opening, with nothing tucked away.
Is the survey and quote really free?
Yes, entirely. We come out, measure every opening, run through the options and leave a written quote — all at no cost and with no obligation to proceed. You only pay if you choose to go ahead.
Do larger or custom sizes cost more?
A bigger opening uses more mesh and a stronger frame, so it costs a little more than a small window. But because we build to measure as standard, an unusual size is never treated as a paid extra; the quote simply reflects the real dimensions of each opening.
Do you offer whole-home packages?
We do, and screening several openings together usually brings the price per opening down. It is also the neatest approach, especially for a whole villa, since every screen is matched and fitted in one visit rather than piecemeal over months.
Getting them installed

Fitting & timing

How long does fitting take?
Most jobs are finished in a single visit. A few windows might take an hour or two on site; a full villa runs longer simply because there are more screens to install. We set a realistic timeframe at the survey and stick to it.
Will fitting damage my windows or walls?
No. Our screens are made to mount cleanly onto the existing frame or reveal, and in many cases they lift away again without leaving a mark. We always explain exactly how a screen fixes in place before we begin, so there are no surprises.
How soon can you come out?
Usually within a few days for the survey, with fitting to follow once your screens are built. If something is urgent, let us know and we will do our best to bring it forward.
After they are up

Care, durability & warranty

How do I clean an insect screen?
Gently, and not often. A soft brush or a wipe with a damp cloth lifts dust away, and an occasional rinse keeps the mesh clear. Steer clear of hard scrubbing, which can stretch a fine weave. Most screens lift out to make the job easier.
Do your screens come with a warranty?
Yes. Each screen is covered, and since we build them in our own workshop, any repair down the line is something we can handle quickly rather than send away. Being a local Dubai outfit, we are easy to reach if you ever need us.
What if the mesh gets torn?
We can re-mesh a screen rather than replace it whole, which keeps the cost sensible. The frame stays, the worn mesh comes out and a fresh panel goes in — often in a tougher weave if the damage points to a busy spot.
How long will the screens last?
Years, with a little care. Stainless lasts longest and hardly notices the sun; good coated polymer weaves also hold up well when kept out of the very harshest UV. The frames are built to outlast the mesh, which is what makes re-meshing so straightforward.

Areas, showroom & booking

Which areas do you cover?
Right across Dubai. Our workshop is in Al Qusais, but a typical week takes us from the coastal towers to the inland villa communities and most places between. Larger projects take us further afield in the UAE, Abu Dhabi included. Not sure your area is covered? Send the location and we will confirm.
Can I visit your showroom?
Absolutely. Our showroom lets you handle the different meshes, compare frame finishes and see how each screen actually opens before you commit, which tells you far more than a photo can. Do call ahead, though, so we can set aside time to take you through it properly.
Do you work with businesses as well as homes?
We do — cafés, restaurants, offices and whole buildings, screened on the same made-to-measure basis as a home. Commercial work often comes with its own access and scheduling needs, which we plan around from the start.
